Redefining Team Branding for the Modern Athlete
My journey into sports portrait photography actually started from a place of frustration—after an injury sidelined me from racing, I found a new way to stay in the heat of the competition through the lens.
That passion eventually evolved into what I call the Sports Media Experience (aka Sports Media Days).
During the 2025 season, I had the chance to bring that experience to the Sunny Hills Cross Country team, and the energy was unmatched.
About the Experience.
For me, a "Media Day" isn't just about showing up and snapping a quick photo. It’s about creating a professional, high-end environment right on-site. We set up a full mobile studio—specialized lighting, backdrops, the works—to give these athletes the kind of professional media assets you usually only see at the collegiate or pro level. We bring decorations, manage check-in, and (sometimes) even bring in food for the athletes!
The goal for the Sunny Hills Lancers was to capture their focus and the energy of the 2025 season. Whether it was for social media announcements or recruitment profiles, these shots were designed to make an impact.
